CiviHosting manages the “back end” software for all of our servers. That means we handle any and all upgrades to Linux, Apache, Nginx, MySQL, PHP, Perl etc.
Our standard hosting does not include ongoing updates for your web software, such as Drupal, CiviCRM, MediaWiki etc.
We normally can offer upgrade services such your web software for a small fee, however. Just contact us to ask about that.
Such upgrades are for one “upgrade attempt” which means we will try to upgrade your site normally. If it works, then we’re all set. If it fails, then we would roll back your site to as it was, and then contact you to discuss options for debugging the issue.
The reason we can’t guarantee upgrades, in particular for a small fee, is that software packages such as Drupal, CiviCRM, MediaWiki etc. are not ours. We didn’t create them, we don’t maintain them, and we don’t take responsibility for them. Thus there may be bugs therein, that we are not always able to fix.
