The official description of CiviCRM is:
CiviCRM is a free, libre and open source software constituent relationship management solution. CiviCRM is web-based, internationalized, and designed specifically to meet the needs of advocacy, non-profit and non-governmental groups. Integration with both Drupal and Joomla! content management systems gives you the tools to connect, communicate and activate your supporters and constituents.
In simpler terms, CiviCRM is a fantastic tool to maintain a database of contacts (such as supporters and donors), organize events, accept online donations, and more. The software itself is free -- we at CiviHosting simply provide hosting optimized for CiviCRM.
We support all features of CiviCRM and we can install Drupal (or Joomla) and CiviCRM for you for a one time fee of $20. Note that we have expertise with Drupal only and can not provide support regarding using Joomla, beyond the initial install. We support CiviMail and our standard limit for outgoing emails is 100 per minute. Generally speaking, for anything more than small lists, we actually recommend to use a third party mail service for best results. Contact us for more information.
We are not officially affiliated with the CiviCRM project nor CiviCRM LLC--we are simply avid users and supporters of CiviCRM. To learn more about CiviCRM, see the CiviCRM web site.
We take the security of your information very seriously, as we do the reliability of our servers being online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For full details of our IT security and our uptime, please see our servers page.
Our servers are optimized for CiviCRM:
- Whereas the CiviCRM team recommends "128mb PHP memory limit," we provide 200mb.
- Our servers run PHP 5.2.10 and will not be upgrading to PHP 5.3 until Drupal, Joomla and CiviCRM fully support it.
- Our servers run MySQL 5.0.82 with InnoDB support
